On October 28th, 3rd Edition of Flamenco Running Cabo de Gata was held for third consecutive year and it was sponsored by Bio Sol Portocarrero . As other occasions, the race, that brought together hundreds of people who participated in the different modalities of hiking, running and children’s activities, was held in a unique landscape such as Salinas de Cabo de Gata.

The name Flamenco Running is due to  Salinas de Cabo de Gata has an ornithological richness of more than 100 different species and especially the Pink Flamingo, that’s why the participants of this race can enjoy of the diversity of species that exists in Las Salinas.

Bio Sol Portocarrero are active in Níjar for almost 20 years and we are pioneers in the province of Almeria in organic farming, our interest in environmental conservation and healthy habits lead us to participate actively in this test that aims to raise awareness the environment and diversity of the Cabo de Gata – Níjar Natural Park.

It should be noted that Flamenco Running always has a charitable purpose and this year it was dedicated to the NGO “El Teléfono de la Esperanza” to support its important work they do for free in favor of emotional health, especially among people who are in crisis situations.
